Hugh B. Harris, a partner in Wicker Smith’s Birmingham, Alabama office, joined the firm in 2025. In addition to handling the medical malpractice and professional liability litigation in Alabama for one of the firm’s major regional hospital system clients, Hugh also represents a variety of healthcare providers and specialists in negligence and malpractice matters, as well as in licensing and administrative board issues before the Alabama Board of Chiropractic Examiners, the Alabama Department of Health and the Alabama Board of Pharmacy. In addition to his medical law experience, Hugh also handles general and premises liability, commercial transportation, products liability, and negligent security matters for corporations and small businesses alike. Hugh is admitted to practice before all Federal and State Courts in Alabama, and is a member of the Alabama State Bar Health Law Section and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association.
