Lisa Turman
Lisa Turman is a seasoned, certified Risk Management professional with over 17 years of experience. She currently serves as a Senior Risk Management Specialist at Grady Health System, home to the nation’s leading Trauma Center. With a solid foundation in nursing, Lisa’s journey at Grady Health System began in 1993, marking over three decades of unwavering dedication and service.
In her role at Grady Health System, Lisa identifies and investigates risk-related issues to prevent patient harm and financial loss to the organization. She is responsible for establishing claim files for all investigated occurrences, including the chronology of the investigation, an assessment of the liability and damages, and the anticipated outcome should a claim or litigation follow. Lisa has a proven track record of developing proactive risk initiatives and implementing data-driven solutions to safeguard organizational assets.
Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Tuskegee University. She has been a dedicated member of the Georgia Society for Healthcare Risk Management (GSHRM) for over 18 years, actively participating in conferences, and Community project initiatives. Lisa holds the position of Secretary for GSHRM. In addition, she is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM)and serves on the New Member Task Force for the Organization.
