Courtney Koch joined Tokio Marine HCC in June 2025 as Head of Excess and Healthcare Claims following the company’s launch into the healthcare professional liability market earlier that year. Guided by Tokio Marine HCC’s core purpose, “To Be a Good Company,” Courtney brings deep claims and litigation management expertise to the buildout of this new business unit, which provides excess professional and umbrella liability coverage to hospitals and health systems nationwide. In addition to her healthcare responsibilities, Courtney also leads the TMHCC Excess Casualty unit, which launched in 2025.

Prior to joining Tokio Marine HCC, Courtney held senior leadership roles at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance as Senior Vice President of Healthcare and Casualty Claims, and at ACE American Insurance as Senior Claims Director. She began her career as a Paralegal at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center working in their legal department. Courtney earned her Juris Doctor from New York Law School and her Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University.
