Christine Samuels
Christine joined the Berkley Healthcare Claims team in 2021. She is responsible for delivering superior claims results through execution of defined best practices while managing an inventory of high exposure and complex healthcare professional liability claims. She is a firm believer in a collaborative approach to successful defense and resolution of high-severity claims. Before becoming a member of the Berkley HealthCare Claims team, Christine served as Senior Director of Claims at a risk retention group where she managed a team working on complex medical malpractice and general liability matters from inception through resolution in multiple jurisdictions. Christine is a former trial attorney and has served as in-house counsel for both private and public hospitals in New York City. She brings a diverse background of experience in risk management, defense of medical malpractice claims, particularly in the academic teaching facility as well as litigation monitoring. Christine received her bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College and her Juris Doctorate from Northeastern University School of Law. She enjoys spending time with her family, playing tennis, and working on her golf game.
