MagMutual Insurance Co., one of the nation’s largest providers of medical professional liability coverage, has introduced MyAdvice, a new digital platform that delivers risk management guidance to help healthcare providers reduce malpractice exposure and improve patient outcomes.
The platform uses MagMutual’s extensive database of claims, billing and procedure data to identify risk patterns and offer evidence-based recommendations. A team of actuaries, data scientists and clinicians collaborates to turn those insights into personalized guidance delivered directly to policyholders through online tools and courses.
According to the company, policyholders who complete one MyAdvice course experience a 3% lower loss frequency on average, while those who complete four or more courses see reductions of up to 20%.
“MyAdvice is a new model for risk management,” said Mark Poling, CEO of MyAdvice. “We’re proving that risk reduction is not just possible—it’s measurable. With MyAdvice, policyholders can lower their exposure, protect their patients and strengthen their practices.”
The rollout comes as malpractice claim severity continues to rise and providers face mounting operational and financial pressures.
“Insurers must do more than protect—they must lead,” said Dr. Bill Kanich, executive chairman of MagMutual. “MyAdvice helps healthcare providers stay ahead of risk with clarity, confidence and the right tools.”
Headquartered in Atlanta, MagMutual is the nation’s largest mutual medical professional liability carrier, providing coverage, claims support and risk guidance to more than 40,000 healthcare professionals and organizations nationwide.
