Melissa is a shareholder in the firm’s Health Care Department with more than 15 years of
litigation experience. She represents and defends physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses,
hospitals, surgery centers, long-term care facilities, and medical device manufacturers in
Pennsylvania and New York in complex medical malpractice and other high-exposure
matters. Melissa has successfully defended clients through trial in state and federal courts
and frequently negotiates favorable settlements. She also represents health care
professionals, including veterinarians, before New York licensing boards, often securing
dismissals without discipline.

In addition, Melissa advises a major national independent foodservice distributor in
significant litigation matters. She is a Certified Mediator for the U.S. District Court for the
Middle District of Pennsylvania, helping resolve civil disputes including personal injury and
medical malpractice claims. Earlier in her career, Melissa served as an Assistant District
Attorney in Westchester County, New York.
